Global Technology Services (GTS) is one of the foundational divisions of the TMX Group, that empowers internal TMX business lines for their technology needs, operations and digital innovation. GTS as a client centric organization focuses on building technology capabilities, enabling our clients with the best technology solutions and providing effective technology financial and resource management processes. The cost effective operation is a key attribute of the GTS execution. GTS is responsible for delivery of all technology initiatives and services across TMX.

You will be part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team with Developers, Analyst-testers, Business Analysts and Architects, in an environment where teamwork reigns using scrum methodology. As a Senior Programmer Analyst in the squad you will be involved in the design and implementation (C++) of solutions, as well as scripting test cases to ensure the quality of your code. Some scripting (Python) for validation and automation processes is part of the challenge. As a member of the squad you will share in the success of the product and its evolution thanks to your commitment, focus and team spirit.

Key Accountabilities

• Active participation on the technical debts items and their prioritization
• Constantly seek to improve team performance through tracking key metrics.
• Develop and implement real-time application
• Collaborate with the Development seniors to understand and to challenge the requirements, , design, and the testing cycle
• Conduct and participate in code review by following the enterprise code standards.

**Must haves

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Technical and/or strong software development background
• 10+ Years of solid development experience
• Knowledge of agile development best practices, and experience with project management tools such as Jira
• Strong knowledge and efficient with Git
• Strong knowledge of C++
• Effective in motivating teams and guiding them through impediments and/or conflict.
• Ability to rationalize design decisions in a clear and objective manner.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficiently.
• Strong skills and experience in designing and developing real-time business applications
• Strong business knowledge of capital markets
• Ability to work in a flexible environment and interest in continuous process improvement
• Sense of organization, focus, persistence and ability to work according to established plan and deadlines

**Nice to haves

• Knowledge of C++17
• Knowledge of Linux environment is a big asset
• Experience with integration to risk system
