In today’s challenging and dynamic small satellites market, the incumbent’s objective shall be to accelerate the growth of LuxSpace’s market share and revenue as a provider of professional and smart solutions for space missions and space-based services and applications.

Such products and solutions shall be largely based on LuxSpace’s small satellite product line designed to support a broad range of applications in the domains of Earth Observation, Communications, Situational Awareness, Technology Demonstration. The incumbent will develop and capture opportunities integrating the small satellites product line with the Application and Services product line.

The role will be reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Typical Tasks and Key Results expected include:

  • Identifying business opportunities in accordance with LuxSpace’s strategic goals
  • Building and maintaining key customer relationships
  • Maintaining extensive knowledge of the market and forecasting its evolution
  • Grow LuxSpace annual revenues and backlog
  • Structuring, preparing and delivering proposals for small / microsatellite platforms, as well as for integrated small / microsatellites and application and services
  • Harmonizing the team of contributors to a bid, ensuring a commercially oriented focus of the proposal
  • Negotiate and close deals based on the proposals delivered
  • Other tasks and duties assigned by manager(s)
  • Temporarily or permanently performing other reasonable and equivalent duties

Due to the nature of the role, the position owner will work and interact collaboratively across the company for the pursuit of growth in sales and revenues.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Engineering, ideally in the Space domain, or equivalent
  • Relevant working experience in a sales environment in the space or related industry
  • Academic background in business administration / sales being an asset

Very good knowledge of the space market and value chain, in

  • particular in the domain of satellites
  • Very good knowledge of the applications and services part of the space market and its value chain
  • Proven knowledge and working results with institutional and governmental clients, such as LSA, ESA, EU, NATO and others
  • Excellent working experience in proposal management
  • Commercially driven mindset with focus on results and achievements
  • Strong ability to communicate adequately, effectively and to drive results
  • Positive spirit to work and interface with a multinational team
  • Methodical and structured hands-on work approach
  • Taking responsibility and being proactive
  • Readiness to travel for business if needed
  • Willingness to work flexible in line with proposal / project needs and schedules
  • Excellent English skills (spoken and written), other languages, e. g. German and French, being an asset
  • In line with applicable (immigration) legislation, all candidates must be eligible to work in Luxembourg / be an EU / EEA citizen and possess all applicable work permissions for Luxembourg.
  • Readiness and eligibility for clearance procedures may be required from candidates.
