We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Pre-Sales Manager to join our North America team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in quantum computing, be able to deliver technical sales pitch and a passion for quantum education and driving business growth.
What will I be doing?
As a Technical Pre-Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with key stakeholders, and promoting our quantum computing hardware and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial process: Advocate effective technical pitch to drive the adoption of IQM's quantum computing hardware and applications in target markets to academia, HPC and enterprise through delivering clear explanation of quantum solutions and science behind them.
- Support business development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and customer acquisition.
- Customer engagement: Engage with potential and existing customers to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and present tailored solutions.
- Product demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of IQMโs quantum computing solutions.
- Customer support: Provide support to customers to ensure satisfaction and successful implementation of IQMโs solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D, technology, product development, and marketing teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and market strategies.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecast sales performance to senior management.
What skills do I need?
- MSc. or PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A background in quantum computing is highly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales or business development, preferably in the quantum computing or advanced technology sector.
- Strong understanding of quantum computing principles, hardware, and applications.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
- Ability to analyze customer needs, propose effective solutions, and resolve issues promptly.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend conferences, and represent IQM at industry events.
- Note: USA security clearance will need to be obtained for this job.
