Financial Communications Lead

Block is seeking a Financial Communications Lead to join the Corporate Communications function, which is responsible for protecting and advocating for Block’s brand globally. Our Global Communications team is made up of tough, quick-witted, entrepreneurial, and intellectually-curious people. We communicate to the world Block’s purpose of economic empowerment and our mission to empower businesses and individuals with easy-to-use, elegant tools that give them an advantage where they previously had none.

Reporting to the U.S. Head of Corporate Communications, you will work closely with executives and teams across Block, including finance, investor relations, legal, government relations, corporate development, marketing and our business partners within Square, Cash App, TIDAL and TBD. The role requires creativity, and the ability to change course quickly and perform in high-stress situations.

You will:

• Lead communications for Block’s quarterly earnings announcements and other important company business and financial-related events and announcements, including M&A, treasury investments, financial filings, Investor Days, etc.
