About the job & position

We are currently looking for a Field Sales Engineer for our team. The position will be based in Pune / Ahmedabad, India.

This position will be responsible for customer development and management for accounts in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh & Maharashtra

Primary responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the field sales of the entire portfolio of sensors, amplifiers, DAQ and software to OEMs, Machine manufacturers, System Integrators & engineering company. Your main areas of responsibility will be:

  • Sales activities to achieve revenue goals from strain gauge including optical, load cell, force, torque sensors, Signal conditioners, DAQ and measurement software.
  • Visiting potential/existing customers and generating enquiries through professional sales techniques using a consultative approach to get to customer concepts and demonstrating the unique strengths of working with HBK
  • Carry out technical communications with customers, demonstrate products, show unique selling point and try to win the opportunities.
  • Acquiring new customers and supporting colleagues with specific product and technical knowledge – working as a team is important.
  • Generate ideas and solutions by making connections with diverse customers, markets and processes.
  • Assist customers in system configuration, product selection and others (training, trouble shooting)
  • Preparing detailed proposals from tender specifications & quotations using CRM
  • Sales process management, i.e. leads, opportunities, closing, forecasting, pipeline, delivering and accounting.
  • Interaction between our service departments to bring service sales activities & After sales support orders.
  • Involvement in promotional and marketing activities in your area.
  • Collect market and industry information, analysis, make a strategy and provide your insights.
  • Providing feedback to the company in the form of reports and forecasts
  • Actively contributing during meetings

Professional qualifications

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in science and engineering such as Physics, mechanics, automation, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, Instrumentation, electromechanical engineering, measurement and control.

Further you have min. 4 years of documented experience with sensors and measurement instruments, automation and control, signal acquisition and processing, industrial process control, or test and measurement.

Personal skills

  • Proven track record of sales performance in related industry
  • Technical background & experience in selling technical products like load cell, strain gauges, force, torque sensors & related DAQ to customers.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with colleagues from various business functions and locations.
  • Good commercial understanding, communication, presentation, and business negotiation.
  • Willing and able to travel for customer visits and participation in trade shows frequently.
  • Positive attitude towards challenges with problem-solving skills
  • Honest, self-motivated & team player approach.
  • Fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi / Gujarati
  • Familiar with the systems such as Salesforce, MS CRM and SAP.
  • Proficient at Microsoft® Office for daily work
