With a sound knowledge of various tools and technologies our DevOps Engineers contribute to the entire DevOps lifecycle for Vista Group Platforms.

You'll automate manual tasks associated with the development and deploying of code and data, as well as implement continuous deployment and integration frameworks. Your core focus is to maintain high availability of production and non-production work environments.

About the role

Technical Support

  • Work closely with all Development teams to progress deployment metrics.
  • Evangelism of SRE/DevOps principles to the broader Vista Group teams.
  • Use internal systems to resolve Project and Incident related work
  • Conduct regular reviews of work quality with the DevOps Technical Lead and other Managers (NZ and overseas),
  • and drills down into the analysis of any problems where required to ensure consistency of approach and that
  • standards are being maintained.
  • Provides advice to the Development Team on possible solutions to software problems found by the Services, Managed Services or Development Teams.
  • Pro-actively work on creating monitoring scripts and managing the internal systems to gain operational
  • efficiencies at scale.
  • May be required to be on standby from time to time.

Service Operations Management

  • Ensure quality of services provided by all our offices.
  • Ensure that systems, processes and methodologies as specified are followed to ensure effective monitoring,
  • control and support of service delivery.
  • Problem and Incident management ensuring that ensure SLA’s are achieved and client expectations are met (or
  • exceeded).
  • Ensure the company tools and information systems are utilised correctly and relevant information is provided.
  • Ensure quality and profitable services are performed to the agreed SLA.
  • Specify systems, processes and methodologies, to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of service
  • delivery.

Product and Technical Support

  • Provide complex technical advice and assistance to staff across Vista Group on business and software related
  • issues.
  • Provide a resolution path for these issues, whether it be hands-on assistance or simply direction on how to
  • approach the issue.
  • Is one of the contact points for any technical issues encountered by staff in the overseas offices or by Business
  • Partners.

Customer Services

  • Provides technical advice and assistance on tough installations or configurations where these have been
  • escalated to the Service Delivery Manager.
  • Works with Vista Group’s business partners and customers to manage the investigation and resolution of
  • challenging software-related issues, where these have been escalated to the Business Partner.

Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Strong proven experience in a DevOps role dealing with various tools and technologies across the entire DevOps lifecycle
  • ITIL qualification (preferred)
  • Azure or AWS Certification
  • ITSM Service desks Like ConnectWise, ServiceNow, ZENDESK
  • APM Tools (Application Monitoring tools) SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Azure App insight etc...
  • Relevant tertiary degree in business or Technology

For this particular experienced DevOps Engineer role, we are currently only considering applicants with the right to live and work in New Zealand without the need for employer sponsorship.
