Quality assurance
- Execute work in accordance with strict compliance of agreed inspection and test plan and to carry out quality inspections accordingly to ensure the integrity and compliance of the item with the requirements of international codes, standards, specifications and customers’ project specification requirements.
- Perform pre-welding inspections such as review of WPS, ensuring its approval by reviewing the PQR. Verification of the welder qualifications.
- Review the welding drawings and check the fit-up of assemblies ensuring that the fit-up parameters i.e. root gap, bevel angle, alignment etc. are in compliance with the drawing requirements.
- Ensure the qualification of the welders in accordance with the positions being welded, the material being welded, and the filler metal being used.
- Carry out painting coating inspections in accordance with the requirements of the agreed inspection and test plans, applicable standards and procedures.
- Carry out visual inspection of the material, the blasting equipment and the abrasive material prior to commencing of blasting activity.
