Accountant with German

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK

As an Accountant w/ German you will take part in financial processes and conduct daily accounting operations for our German campus - CIC Berlin. Your work will relate to accounts receivables/payables, external vendors/providers payments management and keeping order in the general ledger. You will be safeguarding accounting policies and procedures, and cooperating with our global finance team.

​​Potential responsibilities will include:

Accounts Receivable

• Onboarding clients.

• Receiving payments.

• Following up on outstanding accounts.

• Reviewing account histories and billing inquiries with clients.

• Creating reimbursement invoices.

Accounts Payable

• Reviewing and entering bills with a focus on accuracy.

• Process expense reimbursements.

• Processing timely payments while managing cash flow.

• Maintaining vendor files.

• Maintaining supporting documentation and classification of expenses.

General Ledger

• Preparing and posting journal entries.

• Maintaining the fixed assets ledger.

• Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy of all transactions.

• Preparing the monthly reconciliations.

• Assisting with the monthly closure.

• Assisting in any audits and tax filings.

• Maintaining the accounting manual and focusing on continuous process improvement.

• Ad-hoc projects.

ABOUT YOU

CIC seeks self-directed individuals for our rapidly growing team, prioritizing a willingness to learn over immediate expertise. Experienced in recording transactions, posting debits and credits, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of data. Ideal candidates are adaptable to diverse environments, and bring fresh perspectives to their work.

YOU HAVE

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2-3 years of proven experience in similar accounting or finance roles.

• Experience with mainstream accounting ERP systems.

• Willingness to travel.

• Good understanding of financial and accounting concepts.

• Ability to legally work in Poland. CIC is unable to sponsor visas for this role at this time.

• Fluency in English, and German.
