VP, Actuarial Financial Reporting

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position, located in the Boston, MA office, will support the valuation and financial reporting of two of Global Atlantic’s fast growing lines of business: Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) and Flow Reinsurance. The candidate will report to the Head of Valuation and lead a small team supporting both the reporting and analysis/review of the business.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Calculating US Statutory, Tax, US GAAP reserves, and other related actuarial balances
• Providing analysis to support drivers of impacts to earnings
• Supporting the onboarding of new reinsurance deals
• Conducting annual impact testing for potential assumption changes
• Working with the Modeling team related to any necessary modeling updates
• Working with IT and data team on valuation system transformation
• Maintaining and improving various controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
• Supporting audit and regulatory requests

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of actuarial experience in the life insurance and retirement industry
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required
