The Role:

The GSCF Americas Credit Team Lead reports directly into the GSCF Americas Credit Officer. The role incudes performing full analysis of customer’s financial statements and proposed deal structures, preparing recommendations or making credit decisions with adequate terms and conditions to facilitate the credit assessment process. The Credit Team Lead is involved in daily team management including workload and professional support for the team. It also holds a credit delegation level reflecting the experience and the seniority of the Credit Team Lead.

How You Will Make an Impact:

The position entails responsibility for credit risk review of GSCF transactions for the assigned markets, existing and potential new obligors in Americas, with the aim of ensuring a balanced approach to credit risk, pursuing GSCF’ revenue and profit targets, while also minimizing bad debts. The position requires performing full credit review of the customers and proposed deal structures, preparing recommendations with adequate terms and condition to decision makers. The responsibilities also include managing the portfolio, actively engage with Sales and Operations on credit related items and operate within reasonable turnaround times. The Credit Team Lead assists the GSCF Credit Officer with managing and coordinating the workload, providing professional support for Credit analysts and be the first point of escalation for Sales. Working in a small team of credit experts, the role is a collaborative one, requiring good communication and teaming across the region and various GSCF functions.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • English fluent, additional language(s) related to the markets/clients covered are more than welcome

  • Bachelor or university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

  • Wider financial background required, also prior credit risk experience is an advantage

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)

  • Office 365 knowledge with focus on Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Motivation to succeed and drive results in a fast-paced, growing environment

  • Ability to identify and address challenges and think “outside the box” to recommend solutions to support the business within acceptable risk parameters
