Purpose of Role:

As our Senior Azure Solution Architect, you’ll lead the charge in designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based applications. Your expertise will set the stage for efficiency, security, and scalability across our digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and Design: Create robust cloud solutions using Azure services, serverless architectures, RDBMS, and NoSQL databases.
• Guidance and Standards: Lead internal and third-party teams, ensuring adherence to our high standards.
• Evolutionary Architecture: Shape forward-thinking designs that empower rapid software development.
• Best Practices: Uphold TDD, BDD, and clean code principles.
• Automation: Drive efficiency through automation.
• DevOps and Agile: Infuse DevOps and Agile principles into our ethos.
• Security Focus: Prioritise security in code development.
• Technical Discovery: Uncover pain points and business requirements.
• Full Technology Stack: Contribute to PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and operations.

Required Skills:

• Expert Development Skills: Proficient in building web apps and services.
• Enterprise Architecture: Design forward-thinking solutions.
• Key Development Skillsets: C#, .NET Core, Azure PaaS (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grids, Cosmos DB, SQL Azure, App Service, API Management).
• Identity Management: Experience with authentication and access technologies.
• Cloud Platforms: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Integration Expertise: Familiarity with application integration.
• DevOps Proficiency: Modern DevOps methodologies (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Infrastructure as Code: Expertise in Azure Build Pipelines, Terraform, or BICEP.
• User Experience (UX): Understand the importance of UX in digital product development.
• Agile Practices: Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban.
• DORA Metrics: Knowledge of DORA metrics (DevOps Research and Assessment).

Desirable Skills:

• Front-end skills (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React, or Angular).
