If you are an experienced engineer in either iOS or Android and have the enthusiasm to learn Flutter, we invite you to apply for this role. Training will be provided for engineers who are new to Flutter, alongside those who already possess Flutter expertise.

You will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager of the Motors Mobile Experience Team.

Note before applying: This is a remote position, you can work from anywhere in Portugal. Currently, we are not considering candidates that are not physically based in Portugal.

What will you be doing

• Develop a mobile application, ensuring a smooth user experience and incorporating innovative features;
• Develop solutions that enable other teams to deliver excellent work;
• Create modular and scalable code that allows for easy integration with other systems and enables seamless collaboration with other teams;
• Continuously optimize and enhance the application's performance, usability, and security;
• Stay up-to-date with and learn about new technologies and best practices;
• Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and engineers from other teams to solve technical challenges;
• Provide training, help and support to other team members;
• Participation in conferences, communities, and educational programs.

Who are we looking for

• Familiarity with mobile app development concepts, such as UI/UX, RESTful APIs, and data persistence;
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug mobile applications;
• Good understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows;
• Willingness to learn Flutter OR already experienced with it;
• An understanding of the mobile ecosystem, common libraries and languages;
• An understanding of the full mobile development life-cycle;
• Experience in testing automation (unit testing, end-to-end testing);
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team;
• Fluency in English;
• Excitement about cross-platform development general will be a plus.
