The Accounts Receivable Assistant will be responsible for managing the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in issuing invoices to clients. The role will report into the Assistant Finance Manager and will work in partnership with the Transactions team. This role is crucial in helping to manage the company’s cash flow and ensuring the financial health of the organization. We are seeking someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a passion for the sports industry. We are particularly looking for someone hands on, who will thrive in our fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments, resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Coordinate with the wider business to ensure all necessary information for invoicing is obtained
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate with customers to facilitate timely payments.
- Process incoming payments and allocate them accurately to customer accounts.
- Managing the Accounts Receivable mailbox.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including generating reports and reconciling accounts
- Supporting the wider Finance team during the audit process to provide necessary documentation
- Provide support to the Assistant Finance Manager and Transactions team as needed
- Collaborate with the wider Finance team to improve and implement effective processes and procedures.
- Ad-hoc financial projects as needed
Key Requirements
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proven experience in an accounts receivable or billing role
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Professional approach to client relations and ability to provide practical solutions to potential disputes.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple task
- Experience in a global business is preferred
- Experience in the sports industry is a plus
