The Analyst Business Controlling – IT position is part of the Functional Cost Analyses team, focused on supporting the IT function and related data analytics. Collaborating closely with the Group IT function, the role is supports the provision of strategic business analysis, supports action-oriented reporting, and provides capacity to the Chief Information Officer for conducting in-depth analyses as required on IT related data. This role involves project execution, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and offering decision-making support and business insights. The role includes a mix of recurring general reporting tasks and finding answers to new questions or develop solutions for evolving challenges in the sphere of IT reporting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support IT monthly reporting process (including month end actuals and reporting production) and liaise with the Financial teams in the Regions to ensure high quality of reporting data and consistency with the overall reporting guidelines of the Group in Hyperion (HFM).
  • Support monthly management reporting including MBRs and ad-hoc reporting, analyzing IT variances towards Group reporting.
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, long term Business Plan and capital expenditures
  • Support AP invoice entry, invoicing verification (including for US) and approvals.
  • Prepare weekly IT payment file in a timely basis ensuring data quality of provided information.
  • Provided necessary support on vendor payments
  • Supports the overall IT performance monitoring and reporting, providing strong support to the CIO to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Run ad-hoc financial reports and conduct analysis as required using systems such as HFM, SAP and Power BI.
  • Support the configuration, development, testing and implementation of IT business planning.
  • Provide financial support for new IT proposals and projects as required and support new business ventures where appropriate
  • Manage the IT 13-week cash-out plan process, ensuring effective prioritization of the IT Invoices for the weekly payment run
  • Ensure internal processes and policies are followed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Core Competencies and Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is an advantage.

Work Experience

  • 1 - 3 years post-graduate degree experience in finance, controlling and/or accounting within an international, large size company desired
  • First experience/exposure to consolidated financial statements and consolidation and reporting systems of a large multinational company is a plus

Technical / Language Skills

  • Expertise in financial planning & analysis. Sound understanding of accounting, tax and treasury preferred.
  • Outstanding practical knowledge of Microsoft-Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Management Systems; SAP, Hyperion, Microsoft Power BI and VBA/Macro programming would be a plus.

  • A drive and relentless desire to find answers to questions and improve the reporting quality
  • Understanding of strategic rationales as well as operational details of projects and how to translate it into workable data analytics to create high-level frameworks
  • Able to deliver under pressure in a complex environment possessing strong stakeholder engagement capabilities to build trust, manage expectations and foster buy-in
  • Able to fluently interact in English (German, French, Spanish and other languages are a plus)
  • The ability to interact with people of various seniority level and cultural background.
