Senior Engineer - IT Product Support

  • Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Act as Subject Matter Expert on Oracle EBS
    • Hands-on Experience in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Architecture and technical aspects of Oracle Applications
  • Self-Motivation and Task Execution:
    • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed individual with an ability to take up initiatives and execute tasks with full ownership.
    • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with minimal direction.
  • Problem Resolution and Functional Knowledge:
    • Deriving resolution of application problems/issues predominantly in P2P/O2C Cycle
    • Good functional knowledge of any two modules of Oracle Applications from GL, AR, and AP is a must.
    • Have worked on Standard and Custom interfaces.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Demonstrated ability to work with distributed teams across multiple time-zones, open for rotational night shifts.
    • Supporting key business processes/activities including Month end and Year end support activities to Business users
    • Partners with business and technology managers to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Documentation and Design:
    • Proficient in writing/updating Functional Design Documents
    • Experience in mapping business requirements, gap analysis, and preparation of functional/Technical Design documents.
  • Issue Resolution and System Maintenance:
    • Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution and anticipates and prevents problems before they occur.
    • Regularly ensuring good health of production systems and data integrity with upstream/downstream systems
    • Triaging and analyzing application, data, and upstream/downstream integration issues and Monitor Alert notifications and System logs and take appropriate action.
    • Debug complex issues and present their impact along with recommended solutions to users and management.
  • Process Improvement and Project Management:
    • Utilizing past experience to implement innovative approaches to help improve business processes and system performance.
    • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
    • Improve the enterprise systems by leveraging existing solutions when building new technology.
    • Collaborate with non-ERP development teams to design efficient, supportable, and scalable solutions.
    • Prepare Oracle Functional, Technical Design documents, and Unit test documents for the related areas.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Incident and Change Management:
    • Manage incident management, transition, and change management activities.
    • Ensure that all deliverables from offshore are as per the quality guidelines.
    • Ensure audit compliance in projects as per the defined process framework, closure of NC’s.
    • Conduct and lead RCAs for deviations (effort/schedule variance, post-production defects, non-compliances reported in audits & SLA misses) and identify preventive and corrective actions.
    • Ensure process adherence and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Shift Work and Compliance:
    • Work in 24x7 shifts on a rotation basis, including on-call support.
    • Adhere to industry and company standards & ensure proper reviews.
  • Risk and Issue Management:
    • Identify and assess project risks and issues.
    • Develop and implement mitigation plans.
    • Escalate critical issues to senior management.
  • Reporting and Metrics:
    • Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and project status updates.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
    • Ensure project managers and teams have the necessary information and support.
    • Communicate project status and changes to relevant parties.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance project management processes.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to increase project efficiency.
    • Stay up to date with industry best practices.

  • Provide functional support for Oracle EBS finance modules (P2P).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues reported by end-users.
  • Manage and prioritize incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Participate in system changes, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Conduct user training and provide ongoing support.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle EBS finance modules.
  • Participate in testing activities and ensure system quality.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS finance modules.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving functional issues.
  • Familiarity with system changes and enhancements.
  • Ability to conduct user training and provide support.
  • Proficiency in system configuration and setup.
  • Understanding of testing processes and quality assurance.
  • Proactive mindset for process improvements and automation.
  • Qualifications – 3-5 years as functional support.
