About the team

The Sales Solution Engineer team is the support and engine of the Pipe17 Sales Team. The team seeks to guide and find scalable solutions for our potential customers. The team is trained and prepared to define the project scope, technical proposal, and pricing to reinforce the Sales team approach.

About the role

The solution engineer is an experienced professional who supports the Pipe17 Sales team and has a strong relationship with the product, sales, development, and professional services teams, keeping up-to-date with the platform’s potential and roadmap. The solution engineer helps the sales team to highlight the main business benefits to prospecting customers. Multifunctional skills such as sales planning and understanding the needs of our partners are expected of solution engineers.

As a Sales Solutions Engineer at Pipe17, you will bring a robust background in architecting solutions, project management, and technical solution development from your experience in ecommerce technology. Specializing in complex sales, pre-sales, and engineering tasks, you will offer a proven track record of effective communication and compelling product demonstrations.

Your expertise should extend to engineering enablement through comprehensive knowledge in solution architecture and technical solution development. You have a demonstrated ability to contribute to team growth by providing training and fostering a collaborative environment. Acting functionally as a Technical Project Manager, at Pipe17, you will successfully lead multifunctional teams, manage diverse business solution projects, and exhibit strong problem-solving skills.

Who you are

  • You like digging deep into products and are an expert.
  • You have experience in developing working relationships across all levels of management, internally and externally.
  • You have experience in pre-selling or selling ecommerce solutions, iPaaS and technical knowledge for platform and integration models via API.
  • You are a customer advocate both pre-sales and post sales.
  • You love demonstrating the capabilities of your product to customers and partners.
  • You develop and deliver compelling presentations and world-class demos that address complex business problems, including overviews, end-to-end flows, and role-based day-in-the-life scenarios – live in the system.
  • You have deep knowledge of technologies such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, Typescript, Node.js, GraphQL, EDI, APIs, etc.
  • You can work multi-functionally with colleagues and managers, internally and externally.
  • You can translate complexity into action plans and communications.
  • You translate the customers’ needs into business and architectural solutions.
  • You have a tech & math mindset, providing simple solutions to complex problems.
  • You convey clearly – and with conviction – the benefits and differentiators of your product.
  • You assist with demand generation activities.
  • You maintain a positive, enthusiastic disposition during all interactions.
  • You are resourceful and creative. Continuously innovative ways and techniques to improve outcomes.
  • You are a results-driven self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive in a competitive environment.
  • You have advanced English knowledge (preferred).
