Technology Engineer

I. PURPOSE

• The candidate will be hired as a Technology Engineer for Implementation and Support and shall be based in Metro Manila for Trends HO or Metro Cebu for Trends Cebu or Metro Davao for Trends Davao.

• The candidate may be required to go to travel to various parts of the Philippines depending on the need to perform his/her duty as indicated.

• The candidate is expected to work between 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM based on the company’s regular working hours but maybe requested to extend beyond working hour if need be.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The candidate is expected to act as technical advisor for technical issues involving PACU and ACU systems.

• The candidate is expected to troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment using diagrams.

• The candidate is expected to coordinate and escalate with Principal and sub-contractors for the issues of the of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment until resolved.

• The candidate is expected to monitor work and check quality of installation by sub-contractors for electro-mechanical system in accordance with Principal Standards.

• The candidate is expected to perform installation and positioning of UPS, Battery Systems, Rack Systems and Environmental Monitoring Systems.

• The candidate is expected to perform installation of Cable Trays/wire ways and panel boards and cable pulling of electrical cables.

• The candidate is expected to effectively coordinate all the technical activities on assigned projects between CAI-DCF Systems Engineer, Sub-Contractors, Project Manager, Principal, and clients.

• The candidate is expected to implement the plans and the schedule of engineering works accordingly.

• The candidate is expected to display a good level of technical expertise or experience and establish credibility with the customers.

• The candidate is expected to collaborate and work cohesively and effectively with the sales resource team, as well as within Converged Access Infrastructure – Data Center Facilities BSG

• The candidate is expected to attend and participate on meeting requests and other technical related events.

• The candidate is expected to prepare As-Built documentation for implementation.

• The candidate is expected to prepare incident reports and/or RCA (Root Cause Analysis) which shall be provided to the client to explain to them how the issue was resolved and what are the causes.

• The candidate is expected to perform other task assigned by the management team.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or graduate of any Engineering Course

B. Minimum Experience/Training

• Has experience on mechanical and/or electrical installation.

• Has background with data center facilities equipment.

• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD

C. Competency

• Must be a licensed electrical/mechanical engineer.

• Good installation skills

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and AutoCAD (2D/3D)

• Knowledgeable in electrical/mechanical standards (Local and International)

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS

• The candidate must be willing to work form good to extreme work area conditions and must be willing to travel to various parts of the Philippines depending on the need to perform his/her duty as indicated.
