Purpose

In your role as a Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist at Trends Group Inc., you'll play a vital role within our internal marketing team. Your contributions will be pivotal in crafting and implementing strategic marketing and communication plans. Duties and Responsibilities

Campaign Development and Execution:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute integrated marketing and communication campaigns in line with company objectives and budgets

  • Develop detailed marketing briefs that align with brand guidelines and target audience personas.

  • Oversee campaign implementation across diverse channels, including digital, (website, social media, email marketing, paid advertising), print, and events while ensuring coherence and consistency.

  • Manage campaign budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Track and analyze campaign performance data, using insights to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.

  • Use marketing automation and analytics software, such as HubSpot, Marketo or Pardot.

Digital Marketing:

  • Support the development and execution of digital marketing strategies, including social media management, email campaigns, and online advertising.

  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics, engagement, and trends.

Brand Management:

  • Uphold and enhance the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication materials and platforms.

  • Develop and enforce brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive and distinctive brand image.

Content Creation and Copywriting:

  • Maintain brand voice and messaging consistency across all communication channels.

  • Collaborate with design teams to create visually appealing and compelling content.

  • Help to review press releases, social media posts, website copy, blogs, white papers, and marketing collateral.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and company opportunities.

  • Analyze campaign performance data and metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.

  • Stay informed about industry developments and propose adjustments to strategies as needed.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and addressing company needs.

  • Present campaign updates, discuss strategies, and gather feedback in internal meetings.

  • Collaborate with different departments to understand their goals and objectives, aligning communication strategies accordingly.

Event Coordination:

  • Contribute to planning and executing company events, product launches, and promotional activities.

  • Coordinate logistics, manage vendor relationships, and ensure seamless event execution.

Media Relations:

  • Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.

  • Draft press releases and media pitches, coordinating outreach efforts.

  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Sales or a related field

  • 10+ years of proven experience in strategic marketing and communications roles, showcasing expertise in developing and executing successful campaigns and managing communication initiatives simultaneously. Background in enterprise technology is an advantage.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members

  • In-depth knowledge of current digital marketing trends, tools, and analytics to drive effective digital strategies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts and industry influencers, contributing to positive media coverage and brand influence

  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to drive initiatives from conception to completion

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while fostering teamwork and achieving objectives efficiently

  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools (e.g. Meltwater, Media Meter), social media listening tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Brandwatch) and website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
