Grene WIS is expanding its US presence by hiring a Key Account Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit to join the US and drive the sales efforts in the wind OEM market in North America.

As Key Account Manager for the OEM market in the US wind energy industry, you will take an active part in implementing and carrying out the sales strategy for North America. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with or selling to the main OEMs in the wind energy industry. The candidate should have a strong industry network and extensive experience navigating large organizations to succeed in the role. Furthermore, the candidate should have proven negotiation skills and technical sales experience in a B2B environment. Reporting to the US General Manager based in the office in Omaha, NE, the candidate should be self-driven, have an “all-hands-on-deck” mentality and have good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities As the Key Account Manager, your overall responsibility will be to grow your designated OEM accounts, ensuring high-level customer satisfaction and contributing to the company's continued growth in North America. Your responsibilities include:

  • Nurture and grow designated OEM accounts in the wind energy industry
  • Carry out the US sales strategy in the OEM arena
  • Manage the sales cycle from initiation to deal closure
  • Maintain and nurture long-term customer relationships with the customer’s decision-makers
  • Lead customer negotiations
  • Provide technical information and presentations to customers and at industry-relevant tradeshows and conferences
  • Work in close collaboration with the US-based warehouse to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
  • Contribute to sales support and marketing activities
  • Carry out administrative tasks in IT systems such as CRM and ERP systems

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the wind energy industry working with or selling to the major OEMs
  • Experience with B2B sales in a technical environment e.g., tooling, hydraulics and lifting equipment
  • Experience navigating the internal sales process with a large wind OEM
  • Strong commercial background and experience
  • An extensive network within the wind industry
  • Experience negotiating deals and framework agreements
  • Hands-on and self-driven with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package
