Senior Full-stack Engineer

The Role:

We are looking for a senior Full-stack Engineer to join our product development team in our London office. This role will report to the UK Client Portal and Software Manager and will be responsible for developing integrations between our internal system, the Oritain Operating Environment (OOE) and our customer-facing client portal, as well as fixing critical production issues within the OOE to support the business. As a Senior Full-stack Engineer we are looking for someone who can demonstrate keen technical skills to help solve unique problems within the software development team, and also strong communication skills working with our broader product development team. You will work in close collaboration to develop our digital products, key to supporting our competitive edge within the market.

Responsibilities:

• Provide cloud-based software development expertise and support to aid the implementation of Oritain’s strategic goals and objectives.
• Build backend functionality to enable our client products to integrate with our internal system, the Oritain Operating Environment (OOE), and enhance the OOE to enable new functionality in client products.
• Support and ensure uptime of the OOE for our business processes within northern hemisphere time zones.
• Develop the cloud-based analytic, data visualization, and data processing platform for delivery of internal and client facing products.
• Assist with mentoring intermediate and junior software developers, while also remaining a hands-on software developer themselves
• Follow the roadmap and architecture of the development platform to ensure work meets today’s, and future business need
• Be a liaison and point of contact for work pertaining to software development and integration of the OOE with our client products
• Work alongside the product team to understand their requirements and ensuring that the platform’s functional specifications meet their needs.

Requirements

• A track record of being in a team that has developed customer, or non-technical internal customer, facing applications in the cloud;
• 7+ years of proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, or AWS, in areas like API Management, C# serverless Functions, Cosmos DB (NoSQL), SQL Databases.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Angular 14.
• Strong understanding of developing APIs and back-end code in C# .Net
• Experience working within a serverless cloud environment, especially Microsoft Azure and associated services - Azure Functions, API Management, Blob Storage.
• Experience with database technologies such as CosmosDB
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and scheduled releases
• Experience operating in a Scrum environment with sprints and associated ceremonies
• Experience with Git version control system
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Desire and ability to grow and improve with Oritain and help those around them do so too by contributing to the company’s culture
• The drive to collaborate with the software and product teams in both an on-site and remote environment.
