We have an opening for a Shipper 2nd shift 11:30 am – 8:00 pm with occasional overtime and some Saturdays.

Job Description:

Responsible for storage and shipment of customer-ready products, including loading and unloading shipments, pulling and packing products for shipment to the customer. This position is critical for ensuring the customer receives a quality product in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

Retrieve shipping documents (packing list, debit memo, RO or business correspondence) from printer area. Record shipper numbers from documents on appropriate spreadsheet. Pull allocated product from a stock location and unallocated product from the packers. Choose size of carton for product. Audit product pulled against shipping/packing list. Package product, label box outside and place on shipping cart for shipment processing or for large shipments band and shrink wrap on pallet. Scan shipping documents, select service level (next day, second day, UPS, FedEx, etc.); verify address on shipping package with system address. Stage packages for pickup from appropriate carrier. Print end of day report for carrier signatures. Large shipments select through e-shipping appropriate carrier based on transmit time.

Experience:

Previous experience working in a shipping department preferred. Moderate AS400 knowledge. Basic math skills and moderate data entry skills. Forklift certification preferred.

Other:

Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.

Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time on concrete floors (full shifts).

Must wear PPE in compliance with OSHA Regulations.
