Software Engineer

Role Context

• Identity & Fraud (ID&F) is one of the most vibrant business units of Decision Analytics, currently undergoing the most remarkable Digital Transformation across its product line-up.
• It is a particularly exciting and pivotal time for ID&F as we begin decomposing several monolithic applications into microservices and deploying them into the cloud.
• As an ID&F Software Engineer (.NET Core), you will be part of a high-performance engineering team that delivers the product backlog of ID&F’s market-leading Identity Services platform.
• You will work closely with other Software Engineers to build our cloud-native microservices and web applications using the latest technologies and architectural patterns.

• You are an enthusiastic leaner, keen to keep up to date with software engineering best practices, technologies and architectural patterns.

Essential Technical Skills

• 1 to 2 years of industry experience in .Net Development
• You will have a BSc Science or Engineering degree.
• We expect you to have a proven track record of building mission-critical, high-volume transaction web-based software systems, preferably in regulated environments (finance and insurance industries).
• You will have good knowledge of the following technologies and software engineering best practices.
  • RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Web API (.NET Core)
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • SOLID Principles
  • Software Design Patterns like Adapter, Decorator, Facade and Factory patterns.
  • Test-Driven Development (xUnit.Net, NUnit)
  • Open API / Swagger
  • Source Code Management tools (Git, Bitbucket)

Highly desirable certifications & additional skills

• Jira & Bitbucket.
• Docker & Kubernetes
• AWS Associated Developer.
• Experience in building high-performance microservices.
• You have worked in an agile environment using a Scrum approach.
