  • Base Salary HEO7, $108,557 - $118,267 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Australian Centre for Robotics (ACR) are looking to appoint a Senior Project Officer to join the team.

The Senior Project Officer provides project management support and specialist advice to the Program Manager for coordinating and effective implementation of project plans, activities, and tasks across multiple work streams related to robotics projects at ACFR.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide project management support to Program Manager through contributing to the planning and establishment of projects using modern tools like SmartSheet, Confluence, Jira etc
  • collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to understand the comprehensive and accurate project plans and setup those in above mentioned platforms that ensure consistency and alignment with project objectives
  • coordinate the logistical aspects of multiple projects, while effectively supporting project teams performance and resource allocation for robotics field trials and support Program Manager through University specific web tools like FieldFriendly, Concur et
  • generate detailed project activity reports and proactively implement necessary changes to ensure consistent progress towards milestones and timely delivery of project deliverables
  • support the Program Manager through effectively monitoring project performance, mitigate risks, and admin tasks
  • go on occasional field trials with the project teams for supporting them during the trials
  • create and maintain productive relationships with diverse internal and external project stakeholders, while implementing strategic communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged.

About you

  • a bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field and/or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
  • the ability to communicate effectively with high attention to detail
  • comprehensive knowledge of project & technical management tools
  • strong computer literacy and knowledge of modern tools like Microsoft Officer Suite, Confluence, Jira, SmartSheet etc. or eager and expertise to learn new skills
  • experience in supporting projects in similar setting combined with teamwork and collaboration skills
  • demonstrated experience managing multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • proven experience in project coordination
  • a current and valid NSW full driverโ€™s license.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
