Data Warehouse Lead

Role Summary:
The Data Warehouse Lead will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of data warehouse solutions within the company. They will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and create scalable and efficient data models. Additionally, the Data Warehouse Lead will oversee the integration of data from various sources and ensure data quality and accuracy. This is a 9-month contract position.

• Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts and techniques
• Experience with ETL tools and processes
• Proficient in SQL and database management
• Understanding of data governance and data quality principles
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses, such as AWS Redshift or Google BigQuery
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies
• Data engineering or computer science background

This is a 9-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.

Assignment description

Profile & Merits

We are looking for someone who has expert competence in SQL DW with a good track record of leadership. It is advantageous if you have experience in regulated activities, such as pharmacies, banks, etc.

Lead - on prem Data warehouse

The assignment involves review, architecture and leadership/structure in our on-prem data warehouse, the Data Hub. We are facing fairly large changes in data flows that will require new development of, parallel and decommissioning of existing flows. The work is done in SQL.

A high degree of independence and leadership will be required in this role in order to partly lead a team of 2-3 developers but also design and plan the development work
