Overview:

Assembly is looking for a Director, Paid Search who will be accountable for all aspects of their assigned client's Paid Search campaigns. The candidate should have management qualities and experience to be able to mentor each of the positions under them (i.e., managers and associates). The role requires business acumen, experience in retail and e-commerce verticals, advanced technical knowledge of SEM technology, creative energy, and a passion for working in performance driven environments while fostering strong work ethic within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive vision for all SEM programs & strategies to fulfill business goals
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of large-scale SEM programs across platforms
  • Work with other digital media channel stakeholders to understand and execute on integrated media solutions
  • Partner with SEO / organic search stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive search strategy
  • Lead, train and mentor a team of 4-6 search specialists that oversee live media campaigns, analyze data and provide optimization recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience in managing vendor relationships, contract negotiation & ensuring vendors deliver high quality services in alignment with team strategy and business goals
  • Manage and oversee sophisticated bid management strategies
  • Generate regular reporting on key performance metrics, providing insights and succinct recommendations for improvement
  • Present all QBR/Monthly/Weekly and ad-hoc documents
  • Communicate/Troubleshoot changes to the field and technical teams relating to our tracking methodology
  • Looks at our products and associated available metrics and advises how to use them / integrate them with overall platform
  • Act as a thought leader with innate curiosity and aptitude across paid search advertising. Be a trusted source for ongoing digital counsel and search education
  • Manage extended support teams for management, maintenance and QC efforts
  • Stay abreast of the evolving search landscape (ie: new products, evolving campaign formats, new AI opportunities, betas, and digital marketing news)

Requirements

  • 7+ years SEM experience
  • 2-3 years' experience in team management, training & development
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely, both in written documents and verbal interactions
  • Excellent grammar in written and verbal interactions
  • Refined executive presentation skills, showcasing the ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to clients, key stakeholders & diverse audiences
  • Strong understanding of the technology behind Engine performance
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and SA360
  • Experience in ROAS/ROI, CPA and awareness focused programs related to SEM, Google and Microsoft product suite of offerings
  • Understanding of how SEO works with SEM
  • Heavy forecasting experience
  • The ability to work across a matrix environment and thrive in an entrepreneurial and results-oriented culture
  • Experience with large budget SEM management
  • Experience managing and driving performance on budget and within efficiency goals for Ecommerce sales focused paid search performance programs
  • Existing knowledge or willingness to quickly learn the nuances of Lux marketing

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $142,438 - $160,000 annually. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
