Mission of the Content Marketing Manager

This role will be pivotal in helping us carve out the co-pilot category in retail and beyond. Your job will be to develop outstanding content to cement Quorso’s status as a thought leader in the Retail and broader Management Technology space.

Who we think this will suit

We’re looking for an experienced Content Marketer to join our Marketing team with skills in content strategy, copywriting, and distribution to global audiences (most of our customers are in the US). If you love creating high quality and engaging content in the technology space, this role is for you.

Job Responsibilities

Content Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals
  • Conduct thorough audience research to really understand what makes our target audience tick

Content Creation

  • Create thought provoking, long form content pieces such as blogs, articles, newsletters to educate our target audience of senior retail leaders
  • Translate this content into engaging and relevant content for various channels, predominantly Email & LinkedIn
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to create content for integrated campaigns
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and practitioners to gather insights and create compelling content
  • Maintain and reinforce messaging, brand voice and tone

Content Distribution

  • Implement effective content distribution strategies to reach and engage the target audience
  • Optimize content for SEO and work closely with the SEO lead to improve search rankings

Analytics and Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of content using relevant tools and metrics
  • Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies accordingly to optimize for growth
  • Optimize content for SEO and work closely with the SEO lead to improve search rankings

Knowledge And Experience

  • 4-5 years experience in B2B Enterprise copywriting or content marketing, with a strong portfolio

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an ability to adapt content to different styles and tones

  • Proficiency in SEO best practice and content optimization. Familiarity with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush etc) and keyword research

  • Proficiency in using content management systems and related tools (Google Analytics)

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from data

  • Creative thinker with an appetite to test bold new approaches to content & content marketing

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality content

  • Self motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

What does success look like in this role?

First 6 Months:

  1. Content Strategy Development:
    • Develop and present a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with Quorso’s business goals.
    • Establish a content calendar with scheduled blog posts, articles, newsletters, and social media content for the next quarter.
  2. Content Creation:
    • Publish at least two long-form content pieces per week (blogs, articles, or newsletters) that reflect the brand voice and tone.
    • Create and distribute engaging content across Email and LinkedIn, showing initial engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments).
  3. Analytics and Reporting:
    • Deliver the first performance report highlighting key metrics and actionable insights for content optimization.

First Year:

  1. Thought Leadership and Brand Positioning:
    • Establish Quorso as a recognized thought leader in the Retail Technology space through consistent, high-quality content.
    • Contribute to at least two significant industry publications or platforms with bylined articles or guest posts.
  2. Content Performance and Adaptation:
    • Demonstrate a significant improvement in content engagement metrics, including email open rates, click-through rates, social media interactions, and website traffic.
    • Adapt the content strategy based on performance, ensuring continued alignment with evolving business goals and market trends.
  3. Content Management and Team Collaboration:
    • Lead the creation of our knowledge base in Confluence that streamlines content access and use across the organization.

Key interview steps

Part 1: Initial Chat with the Marketing Lead (20 minutes)

Objective: To get to know each other and assess cultural fit.

  • Introduction: A brief introduction of Quorso, its mission, and the design team.
  • Candidate Background: Discuss the candidate's background, interests, and what motivates them.
  • Cultural Fit: Explore the candidate’s values and how they align with Quorso’s culture.
  • Q&A: Allow the candidate to ask any questions they have about the company or the role.

Preparation: No preparation needed. Just bring yourself and be ready for an open conversation.

Part 2: Take home test (60 mins)

Objective: To see how style fits with our approach

  • No more than 60 minutes to turn structured bullets from one of our founders into copy for an article and 3 social posts

Part 3: Portfolio Review and Product Demonstration (75 minutes)

Objective: To evaluate the candidate’s content skills and introduce them to Quorso’s product.

  • Portfolio Presentation (45 minutes):
  • The candidate will present 1-2 pieces from their portfolio.
  • Discuss the creation process, challenges faced, and solutions implemented.
  • Focus on both the creative and technical aspects of their work.
  • Product Demonstration (15 minutes):
  • A member of the Quorso team will provide an overview of our product.
  • Q&A Session (15 minutes):
  • Open the floor for the candidate to ask questions about the product, team, and marketing strategy at Quorso.
  • Address any specific queries the candidate may have about the role or company.

Preparation: The candidate should be ready to present and discuss 1-2 projects from their portfolio in detail.

Part 3: Meet the Team (60 mins)

Objective: A change for you to assess cultural fit with our outstanding team

Who you work with daily is one of the most important decisions you make. So we want to make sure it's the right one, our final stage is always to "break bread" with the team over lunch or dinner to make sure these are people you want to spend quality time with
