As a new member of our accounting team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission of providing high-quality services and working directly with clients to assist with their accounting, financial and tax needs. You are a recent graduate with a degree in accounting who is looking to grow and learn in a highly successful CPA firm where you’re more than just a hired hand. You’ve demonstrated your knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in an internship and are ready to make a meaningful contribution. What your days look like:

• Assisting in the tax preparation, accounting, and financial analysis for private corporations and other closely held businesses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Working directly with clients, gathering documents and providing support for accounting needs, tax-related inquiries, and IRS citations
• Collaborating with senior accountants on special projects –maintaining accurate documentation and confidentiality
• Building collaborative relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences
• Learning and growing professionally – staying up to date with industry trends, accounting principles, certifications and changing tax laws

Requirements

What you’ll bring with you:

• BS/BA in accounting and a desire to work in a small, growing CPA firm – extra points for completing an internship!
• Understanding of accounting and financial principles
• Passion for continuous learning with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Technically savvy – knowledge of MS Office and mainstream accounting and tax software
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management and dedication to making deadlines
• Intellectually curious, humble, and outgoing – you enjoy working with people!
