This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Job Family Definition:

Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying intermediate level of subject matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision.

What you will Do:

Responsibilities:

• Working as an Individual contributor and would be reporting to a Project Manager in the CPE (Current Product Engineering) and NPE (New Product Engineering) Team
• Responsible for all enhancement requests received from the delivery, Gap Analysis and sharing effort estimation.
  Performing the Investigation, Design and Performance improvement
• Analytic ability in order to research technical issues and resolve performance and robustness.
• Would be responsible for handling multiple Customer issues and escalations with guidance (for intermediate level) and enhancements on the product.
• Working in Agile Sprints and Resolve CRs/Defects in a timely manner and provide regular (typically Weekly) updates on the progress

What you will Bring:

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 6-8 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• 5-8 years’ experience in Java Core/EE software development on Linux platform, Strong Scripting knowledge, CI/CD knowledge and Java/Application Secure programming
• Mandatory Skills: Hands on Programming with Core Java, J2EE, REST API’s, JSP, Servlets, Multithreading, TCP/IP/Network
• Programming, Shell Scripting, JBOSS/Wildfly module development with excellent debugging skills.
• Domain: Telecom application development over VOIP and LTE will be good to have.
• Environment: Strong Linux /RHEL environment work experience must. Kubernetes/Container knowledge will be good to have.
• Webservers: Tomcat, JBoss, Wildfly
• Build Environment: GIT, Ant/Maven build, RPM
• Protocol: Knowledge of SIP/Rest is preferrable.
• Optional: VXML/CCXML/MSML/MSCML and little java exposure will be good to have but not must.
