Description -

The EMEA delivery organization Strategic Planner and Chief of Staff will work side by side with the leadership team in driving highly visible operational initiatives, and in influencing the strategic operational direction of the organization. This role is responsible for strategic alignment, operational success, and integration of activities across businesses, markets / geographies and functions. On top, she/he will lead strategic initiatives and programs.

Main Missions

  • Define, implement, and continuously review an on-going effective & collaborative operating cadence across the organization such as staff meetings, calendar and reviews. Proposes solutions when conditions change. Supports effective calendaring and prioritization process to provide clarity and structure to the organization.
  • Schedules staff meetings (weekly, quarterly or bi-annually as defined), design agendas, helps with setting priorities, coordinates content preparation and facilitates discussion, documents; communicates meeting minutes. For the content preparation, he clarifies the desired outcome, facilitates creation of overall story board, acts as an advisor to ensure messages are readable and relevant, drives disciplined cadence of preparation, development and prereviews leading to final deliverable. Ensures timely follow up and closure of staff action items from these meetings.
  • Supports leadership alignment through preparation for All Employee Meetings, Monthly Business Reviews, QBWs and other executive reviews, management of leadership team cadence and key meeting/activity readiness.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders across the organization on their inputs and materials needed for all executive forums.
  • Supports establishment of effective global engagements with other HP internal functions such as Field&Channel Centers of Excellence, other theaters, Category, Care Center, Supply Chain.. that maintains constant alignment of priorities and actions.
  • Manage the Project Plan for the organization, coordinating updated with Project Managers and preparing POR reviews & Communications. Provide inputs to Projects structure/status and follow up on actions.
  • Supports communications (newsletters…) through content preparation and design in collaboration with Executive Assistant.
  • Handles complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixes long term projects with the urgency of immediate demands.
  • Collaborates with and achieves actionable results through others, builds strong and sustainable relationships and interacts with all levels of the organization.
  • Plays a Leadership role in the staff to drive a common and agreed strategic direction, understand differing perspectives and propose the best approach forward.
  • Lead strategic initiatives based on business priorities.

  • Exceptional planning and organization skills
  • Ability to inspire and drive individuals across multiple initiatives to deliver a common objective.
  • Confident and effective stakeholder engagement at all levels of management, delivering a combination of consensus and directive driven interaction.
  • High levels of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics for mass consumption. Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to work within a fluid, constantly changing environment.
  • High level of listening skills.
  • Ability to succeed in ambiguity and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks seamlessly and with excellent attention to detail and quality of deliverables.
  • Proven track record of strategy development and execution
  • 5 years of related experience in Operations, Strategy and Planning or business operations roles
  • Flexible, self-starting independent thinker who is resilient with a high level of personal integrity and energy.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to determine appropriate action.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic (COS is involved in Highly confidential discussions), passion, and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
