We are seeking a Warehouse Storeperson who will be instrumental in delivering certainty to ACL customers by ensuring an efficient and smooth-running warehouse capable of fulfilling all orders swiftly while maintaining high levels of stock accuracy, organization, and cleanliness. As part of the Operations Team, based in Rockhampton and also assisting when required in the Gladstone warehouse, the Warehouse Storeperson will uphold these standards for both external and internal customers.

ACL Industrial Technology is a leading independent industrial supply company, dedicated to eliminating supply chain frustration through increased productivity and reduced waste. We supply machinery, welding, safety, abrasives, and industrial products with a focus on fast, easy, and hassle-free service.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all outgoing orders received by 2 pm are ready for shipping the same day, handling picking, packing, and dispatching orders promptly.
  • Ensure all incoming orders are processed and received by the end of the day.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of the local team.
  • Conduct regular stock takes, support inventory control by maintaining rolling stocktakes, and minimize fulfilment errors and stock discrepancies.
  • Assist with customer inventory control (Vendor Managed Inventory) as required in conjunction with the Account Manager and perform occasional ad hoc customer visits.
  • Participate in day trips to Gladstone as required to support warehouse operations.
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, maintaining a current Forklift License and adhering to all WHS statutory regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in daily team huddles to discuss specific performance measures, daily tasks, and challenges with the team.
  • Use inventory and logistics software to keep accurate records of stock levels and orders. Ensure all stock discrepancies are investigated to determine the cause.
  • Adhere to all ACL policies and procedures, meeting key performance indicators such as no fulfilment errors, all orders dispatched daily, and maintaining high warehouse standards.

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous warehouse experience (non-negotiable)
  • High physical stamina, organisational, and time-management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good computer skills, primarily in Microsoft Office, Inventory, and Logistics Software
  • Current Forklift License (HRW/Forklift)
  • Experience in shipping and receiving, scanning, sorting, stocking, and loading
  • Open, growth, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Familiarity with warehouse terminology
