This vacancy position is within the Functional Safety Group supporting a wide range of Automotive and Industrial Microcontroller and Microprocessor developments.
The position is providing a diversified Safety activity, focusing on Safety Architecture as well as Safety Management aspects of the SoC development. The challenging tasks and responsibilities can support your personal development goals to become a recognized of Functional Safety Expert. Candidates with experience developing safety-related work products are desired.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding all aspects of the technology, the architecture and the function of the product, to product a safety concept and context
- Perform IP, SoC and System level safety analysis.
- Review and develop IP and SoC related Safety work products compliant to ISO26262 / IEC61508
- Perform qualitative and quantitative safety analysis.
- Manage the SoC developed as SEooC through its entire lifecycle, including post-production customer support and working in close collaboration with SoC and IP Design Teams
- Participate in Safety Audits and Assessments.
- Support NXP Customers to use Safety work products developed by NXP Safety Team.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in Automotive Functional Safety.
- Good understanding of Hardware/Software development techniques following ISO26262 (or equivalent safety standard) development process.
- Hands-on experience in at least two safety-compliant product development performing HARA, developing Functional Safety Concept and Technical Safety Concept.
- Experience in Safety Analysis Techniques (FTA, DFA, FMEA, FMEDA) and related tools.
- Experience with Safety Audits/Assessments.
Preferred:
- Strong concepts in Micro-controller and Micro-processor Architecture.
- Experience in semiconductor product development (IP Design, Verification, DFT, Physical Implementation, Tools & Methodology, etc).
- Experience in embedded system and software development.
- Experience in Fault Injection Verification.
- Experience in complex IP development compliant to ISO26262: Part 11.
- Experience in System Level Modeling or Application development.
- Experience with Safety Audits/Assessments
